WestLAN were awarded the contract for the ICT Structured cabling for 4 courts from the Courts Bundle PPP Project. The package was part of the Government’s €2¼ billion Infrastructure Stimulus Package.
The Courts Bundle PPP Project comprised of the development of new courthouse buildings in Drogheda, Letterkenny, Limerick and Wexford and also the refurbishment and extension works to existing courthouses in Cork, Mullingar and Waterford.
These priority projects, as identified by the Courts Service, will help to deliver improvements leading to reduced waiting times and reduced costs of litigation. Also, the improvements in court buildings in city and county town locations around the country will allow the rationalisation of court sittings and help achieve efficiencies in delivering services through the use of improved facilities and technology.
