WestLAN have recently completed the installation of the IT Structured Cabling Network in the prestigious Bon Secours Hospital in Cork.
The Bon Secours Hospital Cork is the largest private hospital in Ireland and has been operating for over 100 years. The hospital has more than 300 beds and employs more than 1,100 staff, admitting approximately 35,000 patients every year. It is an acute general hospital providing an extensive range of medical and surgical specialties for adults and children.
The new extension comprising six state of the art floors, over 80 private rooms, a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and two operating theatres. WestLAN installed over 2000 CAT6A Brand Rex Leviton data points. The structured cabling will carry all the hospitals data, voice and wireless traffic. The high speed network will also encompass data for state of the art medical and surgical equipment, patient monitoring, CCTV and security access.
